Research Methodology
How Tronreview collects, verifies and produces its weekly research.
1. Data collection
Weekly metrics are aggregated from TRONSCAN, DefiLlama, Messari, CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, Tether disclosures and the order books of tracked energy marketplaces. Each figure is timestamped with the aggregation window. Where sources disagree, we state the discrepancy in the report’s notes rather than silently averaging.
2. Source whitelist
We only cite from the following whitelist:
- TRON DAO Official — https://tron.network
- TRONSCAN Explorer — https://tronscan.org
- Tether Official — https://tether.to
- Messari (State of TRON) Research — https://messari.io
- DefiLlama Data — https://defillama.com/chain/Tron
- CoinGecko Data — https://www.coingecko.com
- CoinMarketCap Data — https://coinmarketcap.com
- Project official blogs & X accounts Official — https://x.com
- GitHub (TRON protocol & ecosystem) Official — https://github.com/tronprotocol
- Major industry media (CoinDesk, The Block, CoinTelegraph, CryptoSlate) Media — https://cryptoslate.com
A source not on this list must be corroborated by a whitelisted source before it appears in an article. Third-party claims are attributed, never laundered through our voice.
3. News workflow (Weekly News Review)
Each issue follows: fetch (7-day window) → dedupe → impact ranking → classification → summarise → cross-verify against the whitelist → editorial comment. Items that cannot be verified against a whitelisted source are dropped or explicitly flagged.
4. Deep Dive research method (Weekly Deep Dive)
Each week the desk selects one TRON news item, project or event from the previous seven days and produces a research report. Selection criteria: (1) significance — measurable effect on users, prices or the energy market; (2) verifiability — a whitelisted evidence base exists; (3) durability — the topic is worth more than a news paragraph. Reports follow a fixed structure (primer → market context → what changed → first-week evidence → implications → risks → watchlist) and grade claims by evidence strength. Where our sister service Tronsell has a commercial stake in the topic (e.g., the energy market), we disclose it inside the report and cover competitors on their merits.
5. Seed-build disclosure
This first publication is a seed build: figures are Tronreview’s best-available estimates aggregated from the public sources above on 2026-08-17. The production pipeline will refresh these values automatically every week. Until then, treat long-tail market figures as estimates and verify before relying on them.
6. Energy market data
Rental prices are volume-weighted averages across ten tracked marketplaces for 65,000-energy units (one standard USDT transfer). Burn-equivalent costs derive from TRON’s dynamic energy parameters as reported by TRONSCAN. Staking costs use TRON’s delegation economics (≈36,000 TRX staked sustains one 65k-energy transfer per day).
7. Corrections
If a figure is wrong, we fix it and note the correction on the affected page and in our editorial policy. Please report issues via the contact page.
